SME Honolulu honors Peter Savio as the 2024 SPOY recipient. Peter Savio exemplifies the qualities of excellence, integrity, and visionary leadership—the very values the SPOY award represents. A respected figure in Hawai‘i’s real estate industry, Savio’s commitment to local empowerment and his vision for community development have made a lasting impact on Hawai‘i. His dedication to enhancing the image of the state and improving the quality of life for its residents is evident through his work with affordable housing initiatives, his leadership in revitalizing local communities, and his support for numerous charitable organizations.
Savio has spent decades working towards affordable housing and farming projects for Hawai‘i residents. Through Savio Realty Ltd. and Savio Development Company, he continues to lead innovative housing efforts. His recent work includes the ʻOhana Farm Parcels on Oʻahu, a lease-to-own program that gives families access to agricultural land. He’s also partnering with the City and County of Honolulu on the Varona Village project in ʻEwa, where current tenants can buy homes for under $150,000 and new homes will be sold below market value. These efforts reflect the values of the SPOY award: improving lives and strengthening Hawai‘i’s communities.
