Join us for one of Honolulu’s most prestigious annual events — the Sales & Marketing Executives of Honolulu’s Salesperson of the Year (SPOY). This year, we are proud to honor Sherry Menor, President & CEO of the Chamber of Commerce Hawaii, as the 2025 SPOY recipient.

Sherry Menor is a distinguished leader and ceiling-breaking professional, having served over a decade in her post as Chamber of Commerce president and CEO. She is the youngest and first female President and CEO in the Chamber’s 176-year history. She is the first Asian to serve as the leader of a state chamber in the nation.

Menor currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Hawaiian Humane Society, and is one of American Cancer Society’s CEOs Against Cancer Hawaii Chapter Members. Nationally, she serves on the Board of Directors of the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) and the U.S. Chamber’s Committee of 100, comprising the top 100 Chamber professionals. She was recently appointed by the Hawaii State Legislature to serve on the Hawaii Sister-State and International Partnerships Commission.

She previously served on the boards of the Hawaii Tourism Authority and Girl Scouts of Hawaii, and nationally, in the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Council of State Chambers (COSC), and Western Association of Chamber Executives (WACE).

A Portion of SPOY Proceeds Go Towards the SME Honolulu Scholarship in Honor of Stephanie Lee Uyeda
Every year, SME Honolulu donates a portion of the SPOY event’s proceeds to the SME Honolulu Memorial Scholarship Fund, which honors Stephanie Lee Uyeda. This fund was established in 2010 to provide scholarships to students at the Shidler College of Business at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa. 
 
Stephanie served as the Executive Director of SME for a decade. Stephanie was an inspirational businesswoman whose positive energy filled every room she entered. She was truly the soul of SME Honolulu and made such a huge impact on the sales and marketing industry.

 It is because of her heart and spirit, and steadfastness to mentoring the next generation of marketing professionals, that SME Honolulu created the endowment benefiting Shidler College of Business students. 

 The SPOY event proceeds provide a tremendous level of support for Shidler students, helping them to graduate on time and without debt, while also supporting their participation in extracurricular activities, study abroad programs, and internships.
